The Fairer Sex
The energy of the feminine embodies the nurturer, the healer, the compassionate peacemaker, the mystic and the connector. Sandy’s exalts the feminine in much of her art, depicting tribes of women of all kinds in their connection to eachother and the greater whole. Her work echoes the notion that in societies across the globe, women are eachothers’ mightly pillars of strengh as they share much of their lives together - from child-rearing, to praying together, to hunting and gathering together, to weaving and quilting together, to creating meals together, and to serving as the source of female power in all its various and mystical forms.
